We are a content development company, an idea lab, dedicated to bringing great stories to life for print and screen. Based in Brooklyn, New York, we develop original ideas across a variety of genres for kids of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.

Behind the Name
The name 1000 Jars is derived from a play on Raquel’s last name, Jaramillo. In Spanish, Jarra means “jar,”, and mil is the number 1000. Raquel and Russell agreed that since their children have Russell’s last name, their company could have Raquel’s last name. ;)
